When a simple BMW group ride turned into a Batman sequel on two wheels.

Every group ride has its own story — but this one could’ve been scripted by Christopher Nolan himself.
It began as a regular BMW Motorrad Dubai ride to Al Aqah Beach Resort, a coastal route promising beautiful curves and seaside views. Riders assembled at the BMW Motorrad Motor City showroom in Dubai, lining up their GS beasts for the morning rollout.
Everything was smooth… until it wasn’t. Because someone (🙋♂️) forgot to fuel up.
I told the group I’d leave ten minutes early, fill up, and catch them on the way. Perfect plan — in theory. In practice, just as I finished refueling, the entire convoy thundered past the gas station. By the time I got back on the road — they were gone.
So I pulled over to call someone, when suddenly — out of nowhere — a black BMW sportbike rolled up beside me. The rider was dressed head-to-toe in a sleek, exotic suit, helmet down, visor dark. It was like Catwoman on a superbike had just pulled up to save me from my own stupidity.
She asked, “You okay?” I said, “Yeah, just missed my group.” She replied, “I’m with them too. Follow me.”
And just like that — VROOOM! — she was gone. Fast, precise, fearless. One hand on the throttle, the other resting casually behind her back, weaving through traffic like she was dancing to her own playlist.
Meanwhile, I’m here giving proper indicators, checking mirrors, and whispering, “This is how Catwoman kills Batman.” 😅
Every time I got close, she’d slow down, look back — then vanish again into Dubai’s morning haze. She was fast and furious, and I was slow and curious.
We finally caught up with the BMW pack near Al Aqah Beach, but she disappeared before I could even say thank you. No name. No trace. Just a mystery rider — fearless, stylish, and gone with the wind.
To this day, I don’t know who she was… but she made what could’ve been a frustrating solo chase into one of the most unforgettable (and hilarious) rides of my life.

Some rides test your skills. Some test your patience. And some — like this one — remind you that every ride can become a story worth telling.
So here’s to the unknown Catwoman Rider of Dubai — who turned a fuel stop into a film scene, and made the slow and curious feel part of the fast and furious.
The Catwoman Rider Dubai may forever remain anonymous, but she turned a fuel stop into one of my favorite riding stories.
