Meet the Crew Behind MotoMoku
Three characters. One throttle. Endless stories

Welcome to MotoMoku: Gears, Years & GenX Fears — the home of one slightly over-aged, overly adventurous motorcycle blogger in Dubai who refuses to stop chasing stories on two wheels.
I’m Mir — Gen X rider, content creator, and the guy behind the MotoMoku channel. Together with my rescue cat Moku (chief nap officer) and my BMW R1250 GS Adventure Manchalee (a.k.a. the “second wife”), I share life, laughter, and lessons from riding across the UAE and beyond.
Asad Mir
The Midlife Throttle-Twister
Also known as the “guy behind the handlebars,” Asad is a GenX warrior on two wheels who swapped midlife crises for motorcycle rides. He’s a corporate suit by day, but by sunrise or weekend, he’s a road philosopher, YouTube narrator, and GPS rebel (who sometimes turns left when the map says right — because vibes matter more than directions).
Whether he’s dodging potholes in Dubai or chasing goats in the Canadian countryside, Asad brings soul, sarcasm, and a squeaky clean helmet to every journey. Think of him as your friendly uncle who rides a BMW GS and raps in Punjabi when lost.
Moku
The Cat. The Myth. The Meow-ssiah.
Moku is not just a cat — he’s the real boss behind MotoMoku. A rescue cat turned reluctant influencer, Moku rides shotgun (sometimes literally) on social media and rules the garage like it’s his kingdom. He doesn’t chase mice, he chases views.
Too cool for a collar and too judgmental for your GoPro angles, Moku’s silent meows speak louder than your exhaust pipe. Every MotoMoku decision must pass his strict “purr-approval” process — which involves exactly 3 hours of napping and 1 soul-piercing glare.
Fun fact: He’s the only one on the team who doesn’t wear sunglasses — he grew his own.
Manchalee
The Second Wife (BMW R1250 GS Adventure)
If steel had feelings, this bike would be both fierce and jealous. Manchalee isn’t just a motorcycle; she’s a $30,000 diva with torque, attitude, and curves that make Harley riders rethink their life choices.
Named after the Urdu word for “free-spirited girl,” Manchalee is everything Asad’s actual wife worries about — adventurous, high-maintenance, and always dressed in black. She’s been across deserts, up mountains, through gravel, sand, potholes, and once — very slowly — through a McDonald’s drive-thru.
She may stall sometimes, but her love never runs out of fuel (unlike her tank after 320km).
Why MotoMoku?
Because life after 50 doesn’t mean slowing down — it means shifting gears.
As a motorcycle blogger in Dubai, I ride with groups like Pakistani Riders Group (PRG), GS Nation UAE and Bad Monkeys MC, test out local gear shops, and compare riding life in the Middle East vs. Canada.
Manchalee (my GS) teaches me patience.
Moku (the cat) teaches me humility.
And I? I just try not to fall off too often.
