Gears, Years & GenX Fears

Welcome to MotoMoku — Where Midlife Meets Motorcycle Madness

Hey there, road wanderer. You’ve just rolled into the garage of MotoMoku — part travelogue, part biker diary, part GenX survival story. Whether you ride, dream of riding, or just like watching middle-aged men try to climb sand dunes with a BMW GS and a moody cat — you’re home.

This is where gears grind, years fly, and Gen X fears get a throttle twist.

I’m a middle-aged, motorcycle-riding, YouTube-posting dad based in Dubai, navigating the desert highways and the emotional side streets of midlife. My youngest daughter is about to leave the nest, retirement is approaching, and suddenly, my rides aren’t just about the road — they’re about rediscovery.

I started this blog to share more than ride footage. It’s a place to talk about life after 50, the joy of open roads, the shock of silence at home, and everything in between. Expect moto misadventures, empty-nest philosophy, sunset selfies, and maybe even a few tears behind the helmet.

Whether you’re here for the bike stories or the midlife reflections, I hope you find a piece of your own ride in mine.

🧭 Ride Summary A beautiful full-day ride tracing the scenic Niagara River from Milton through Burlington, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Fort Erie, looping back with laughter, coffee, and cinematic views. Joined by Aurangzeb from Lahore Farms, this episode captures the essence of summer riding in Ontario — smooth tarmac, wide skies, and throttle therapy with a friend who rides like he farms: steady, grounded, and full of life. Between light humor, missed turns, and stunning riverside shots, this vlog blends travel, friendship, and Gen-X reflection on life’s curves and straightaways.
My second ride in Canada took me from Milton into Ontario’s motorcycling heartland — a 143 km loop of farm roads, escarpment curves, and biker hotspots. Riding alongside Aurangzeb, a local legend from Lahore Farms who trailered his Harley with his family to join me, we carved through Belfountain, Forks of the Credit, Cheltenham Badlands, and Terra Cotta before looping back. Chrome, coffee, tacos, and family vibes — the perfect Ontario motorcycling day.
My first crew ride in Canada with the Desi Riders Group (DRG) was a relaxed yet soul-stirring loop starting and ending in Milton, Ontario. We met at a Burlington Tim Hortons, rode lakeside to Stoney Creek, and looped back — cruising through tree-lined neighborhoods, farmland under the Niagara Escarpment, and scenic urban corners. The company? As epic as the views. From Zeeshan’s apex-hunting antics to Timmy’s gas-station giggles, this was a ride filled with joy, camaraderie, and a warm Canadian breeze that felt surprisingly like home.
